Worst washer ever owned

this is by far the worst washer i ever owned. we lived in rentals and apartments before and used washers that cost fraction of what we paid for this one and they worked 100 times better. please save your money and don't buy this. my laundry has a stinky smell after every wash, stains are never cleaned, and worst of all, clothes always come out soaking wet!! samsung, never again!

Washer is unrepairable after 2yrs

I bought this Samsung washer and after 2 years 4 months exactly it Broke. Samsung sent a repair person to my home 2 times. both times the motherboard was replaced and the Samsung washer is still broken. The repair person determined the washer Unrepeatable. the Samsung warranty expires at 2 years. I Wasted My Money on a new Samsung washer that only works for 2 years.

i purchased a 2 year old home and the sellers left me their 2 year old samsung washer & dryer. they purchased this set from best buy along with a 5 year warranty. after 2 months of use, i contacted best buy and had issues getting them to come look at the washer. i finally paid a repair man and was told it would cost $420 to repair this $800 washer. i took it to the dump the next day and bought an electrolux and couldn't be happier. samsung should stick to making tvs. if you want a cheap washer & dryer, this is the one.

this thing will not last! it fails and when trying to get service it will cost more than a brand new unit. mine stopped mid-cycle and froze. said it still have hours left on the cycle just blinking. so i powered it off to reset it - but it would never power back on. it had a full load of towels, gallons of water inside. i had to emergency drain it, door was stuck locked. so to prevent the load from staying wet and molding had to pull everything out of the tiny addwash door and wring it out by hand. repair tech offered to repair it for $795!! this is our second failed samsung washer and 3rd failed samsung appliance. highly do not recommend.

my family invested alot of money for a premium brand washer. with the anount of mineg apent, you would think that it will last quite a number of years. however we had this less than 4 years but the machine stopped working. we tried everything to alove the clogged drain and as a last result had to call in an expert. however since it was out of warranty, samsung did not take responsibility and said it would be iut of pocket. we hired a tech to come and fix it and they stated that it is due to a computer malfunction and would cost over $500 to fix. this is the last product i will ever buy from samsung as my fridge from them had already brought down twice as well

second problem with the machine and now i'm out of warranty. the company that samsung suggests i use could not come for 2 weeks and cost $79 for diagnostic. i called a repairman who cost $65 and came immediately. he said it was an expensive sensor (3c code) and an expensive fix.

constantly needs water drained from the bottom of the rubber seal. if not, it will mold and taint the clothes. we leave the door open to air out and we must constantly clean. the rubber started to leak after 18 months. $400 repair to replace front rubber boot.

we purchased model wf45k6500av/a2, 3 years ago. almost on queue for the expiry of the warranty, the machine began failing. the repair technician identified multiple cracks in the wiring and said that repairing or replacing the wiring harnesses was not economical. he advised that we buy a new machine. and, he said that these problems were common. we chose to sauter the wires ourselves..... and so began our journey of hunting for newly cracked wires that required repair. yesterday, multiple errors showed up again and we are throwing in the towel. it is going to the dump. essentially, these machines are built to self destruct. don't buy them. we are switching to another brand..... and unfortunately will be buying extended warranty

Broke in less than 4 years

do not purchase a samsung washer! after many ub error codes and weeks of troubleshooting the washer would not do a high speed spin cycle, after some work we found rust on the stator. we ordered a new stator but found out that the bearing on the back of the tub failed and was leaking, hence the rust on the stator. fixing the stator would only be an expensive and endless cycle of the machine breaking. appliances are meant to last at least longer than this, expecially for what we paid. we do not overload the washer, always make sure it's leveled and ran calibration multiple times. i have everything samsung (phone, watch, tv's, robot vacuum, etc) due to this i'm considering never buying another samsung product again.

Wet, wet, and more wet.

i bought this washer in 2017. for 2 years, it worked perfectly fine. then in 2020, my clothes would end up wet on every other load. in june, everything was still wet after each wash. after watching several youtube videos, i decided to replace my drain pump motor. it was pretty obvious to me that it was making an excessive amount of noise. after replacing the motor, my clothes would end up wet on every other wash again. but i do noticed that the spin cycle did not reach the correct speed to dry my clothes. after some more research, i decided to replace my shock absorbers. during the repair, i noticed that the rear shock absorbers were installed upside down from the factory. so i unscrewed and reattached them right side up. that finally fixed it.

I want my Bosch back.

We moved to a newly constructed house and I had ot leave my old washer and dryer behind. WE thought the samsung would be perfect for our beautiful new laundry room. Boy how wrong we were. 1) Washer does not clean anywhere near as effectively as my old one which was 10 years old. Clothes seem dingier after a year of washing in this machine. 2) Front "add wash" feature is rather silly. You have to stop the washer full stop before using the little front door, at which time you might as well open the large one. The little front door frequently smells awful, and I was told by a repair man that we need to wipe it down after every load. So this great "time saving" washer now requires me to open the useless little door and wipe it down after every load? 3) No real control. Do not be fooled by the buttons - you can't change some of the setting depending on which cycle you choose. For example, if you want to wash something on extra hot, with low spin - good luck finding that setting. Normal won't allow me to go above warm. ?Heavy duty lets me do really hot, but I can't do no spin. I just want to select the combos I want - not something that someone at Samsung decided was optimal. 4) Leaks constantly ... had service person in as it was constantly triggering our wet floor alarm. Was told it's normal that it's just the "overflow" . seriously - normal for a washer to leak? 5) Thought we would use the notify system - nope never use it - never. The only thing I like about this washer is the little song it plays when it's done. (a song which drives my husband batty btw ;)

We bought the Pair as our first front loaders and couldn't be happier. The unit is loaded with features and is saving tons of water versus our old top loader.

Lemon..same issue keeps occurring

Purchased in May 2017. Two months right before vacation, the machine won't complete a spin cycle. Got worse and would not get out of rinse cycle because it would start to spin but clunk and stop. No laundry before vacation, inconvenienced having to go to laundromat and friends houses. Machine was under warranty only 2 months old. Used Samsung service and it was a week before someone could even come out. When they did the tech told me up front he has no parts with him. Did a diagnostic and no error codes and machine would spin fine with nothing in machine. So I stood there and made him put a few towels in and sure enough machine would not complete a spin cycle. Left without even opening the machine...came back another week later to replace the board but that wasn't the issue. It was the wire harness which he claimed must have gotten damaged when the machine was delivered. That did the trick and worked fine up until today...same exact problem. Machine has not been moved. And now out of warranty. If it's that harness again, there is a design flaw w/this machine if the wires are getting damaged. I'm waiting to see what happens. I should just take the loss and get a new machine because obviously this issue will keep occurring as I've seen in others complaints. I buy a large front load washer because I have a big family and lots of laundry. All I can wash right now are a few delicates in a low spin or no spin. Useless and big inconvenience right before the holidays.

Not Operator Friendly

This Machine does not allow selecting a rinse temperature. I usually wash in hot water but rinse in cold water. The rinse water temperature on this machine is very hot which is not appropriate for some whites, namely underwear. No matter which wash temperature I select, when the rinse cycle activates, the rinse temperature becomes very hot. Secondly, there is no drain only feature. I would recommend this product only if the user does not care about the rinse temperature, because it is a good machine otherwise.

Best Washer Ever! Perfect Load Space!

I bought this washer about 5 months ago, and it's been a dream machine. I love the fact that you can put the detergent and the fabric softener in at the same time in the compartment, the machine itself washes the clothes beautifully. The smart feature tells you the status of the washer, such as time left, time to clean basin. This is honestly one of the best purchases I so far don't regret.

We have been unhappy with this item almost from day one and if I could return this item, I would. Samsung support has been out to service the item on two separate occasions in the first year and has been unable to resolve the issue. The washer continues to make knocking sounds you'll hear in the attached video. It is so loud, we can't hear the television in our living room when doing a load of laundry!

I bought this washer at the beginning of 2018. I've washed dozens upon dozens of loads of clothes and no issues yet. Only thing, I wish there was a way to swap the door so it would open the other way. Thing is super heavy also.

I bought the Samsung Washer and Dryer about 2 1/2 months ago. I have been extremely pleased with them. I can see the results especially in the whites. I also have dogs and use the Allergen setting for my blankets quite often and very pleased with the results.
